However, a rear-guard action led by Swapnil Patil (37 from 36) helped UAE to fight back. In the absence of a substantial partnership, the innings came to an end at 115 for 9. While Swapnil top scored with the bat, Sri Lanka’s Lasith Malinga returned match-winning figures of 4/26. He enjoyed great assistance from Nuwan Kulasekara (3/10) and Rangana Herath (2/22).
